“ Yesterday first time tried this restaurant near my work place. Great flavor. Their beef is very good. And I have to mention the red pepper is super spicy. Also their another two spicy sauce is spicier than other places but i like it. Also like their summer rolls and sweet sauce. And roasted beef is very very good. Sour vegetables is perfect as well. The handsome server “Tony” very friendly and welcoming. always delivers in time service. Their tea is so good. ”
Peiyu“ We were looking for new pho places to try on a cool Sunday afternoon for lunch and found this gem. They just relocated from their old location a block away and they did not disappoint their restaurant name. The XL portion of pho is truly a BIG bowl and especially at $18, it's well worth the price of admission. The broth is wonderfully tasty, lots of fresh noodles and tons of tender meats. Bun bo hue was also REALLY good but be aware if you're used to getting the usual veg toppings because they don't have that. There's just bean sprouts instead of the usual shaved cabbage or banana blossoms. I guess because of the area they're in, locals don't really know how to eat them together. My wife had the wrap platter and it was excellent. Large portion for 2 at $32 was a great value. The whole family loved this place and we'll have to come back again soon. ”
Hoang Le“ It was first time to dine in at Pho Big Bowl on a Sunday afternoon after attending Sunday service. The parking lot had accessible parking so it was very convenient. Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to see a crowd, all tables were occupied and there was a line up. I was told to add my name on the queue, and wait for the staff to provide us a spot. After 15 minutes, the table became available and we were seated. As we seated, a couple got the table next to us. Was not pleased when the couple who just arrived got the complimentary tea. As we were thirsty and famished, we asked for the tea 3 times before we got it. After another 15 minutes, we got our orders. Food was okay, but nothing so special. Paid at the counter, noticed that there was no tax, but had to tip. Enjoyed our meal. ”
C C“ After many years of passing-by their old location, we finally decided to try Big Bowl. The bowl was truly big. The meatballs are much bigger than the usuals. They all tasted great, the noodle quality was amazing. The only thing we didn't like was their fried spring rolls. Looking forward to come again. ”
Jack C.S. W“ Nestled in the heart of Mississauga, PHỞ BIG BOWL has long been a beloved destination for Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts. Renowned for its hearty bowls of pho and a menu that captures the essence of traditional Vietnamese flavors, this eatery offers a culinary experience that resonates with both locals and visitors alike. A Culinary Delight At PHỞ BIG BOWL, the star of the show is undeniably the pho. Diners frequently praise the broth’s rich and aromatic profile, complemented by generous portions that ensure satisfaction. One patron noted, “Soups are very tasty and portions are good size. (Small soup is really big for $11.95) very reasonably priced” . Beyond pho, the menu boasts a variety of Vietnamese staples. From fresh spring rolls to flavorful rice dishes, each item is crafted with authenticity in mind. A reviewer shared, “The food tasted great… lots of people dining in when we picked up our order,” highlighting the restaurant’s popularity and consistent quality. Ambiance and Service While the interior may be modest, the atmosphere exudes a cozy charm that many find endearing. The establishment’s longevity speaks volumes; as one loyal customer mentioned, “Big Bowl has been at the same location in Mississauga for the past three decades. We are so happy the pho soup #18, Pai Tai #82 are as delicious as before” . Service is generally prompt and courteous, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. However, some patrons have noted areas for improvement. A Yelp reviewer commented, “Fast service, good soup, spring rolls are too oily, more pricey than other pho places” . Final Thoughts PHỞ BIG BOWL stands as a testament to enduring quality and authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Mississauga. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, the restaurant offers a flavorful journey that’s both satisfying and memorable. Follow for more ”
Prophet Reindolf Monnie“ First time visiting their new location, moving only a block down the street from their old spot which I used to frequent. The new location seems relatively hidden and tucked away next to the Terra foodmart and can be easily missed when searching for it, especially compared to its prominent former street corner location. The atmosphere is more open and organized while virtually remaining the same size as their previous location. The individual style washrooms are a vast improvement. The menu is pretty much the same, although with some missing items from past menus (seemingly gone is the duck stew with egg noodles I sometimes ordered). Perhaps a fresh start has provided them an opportunity to better streamline their menu while dropping the not-so-popular options. Service was friendly, fast and attentive, although this was 2pm. on a Thursday when it was not at all busy. The taste also remains vibrant yet hearty and comforting, which always hits the spot especially on a cold winters day. My only criticism is that they don't offer as much complimentary bean sprouts and herbs as they used to. ”
Ken Mercado“ The best authentic Vietnamese food in the area. New location is more spacious and the atmosphere is great. Place gets busy, but service is still great. Food portions are very generous, fresh, and flavourful. 10/10 would recommend. ”
